Pocono to honor Jimmie Johnson at the finish line

In November of last year, Jimmie Johnson announced his retirement from NASCAR at the end of 2020. Then, Pocono Raceway decided to honor the seven-time champion at the finish line this weekend in both races (Saturday and Sunday).

A couple notable changes on the frontstretch at @PoconoRaceway:

• The track is honoring @JimmieJohnson with his name on the Turn 1 side of the start/finish line

• Scoring pylon has been removed and replaced by a sponsor banner. pic.twitter.com/o3DdYXf7a5

Johnson won in Pocono three times in his career, twice in 2004 and the last in 2013, in the year of his sixth championship.
